Where Wilkes-Barre is located is really unique, because you're not driving hours and hours to get to one major city. If you want to go to New York, it's only a two-hour drive. If you want to go to Philadelphia, it's only a two-hour drive. The school offers a lot of chances to go to these cities and transportation.
Between the services that Wilkes provides, as well as your ability to walk to a lot of things in the area, it's pretty easy to get around and access what you need.
A lot of the places in downtown are all in walking distance. There also is public transportation that runs all over the city and into surrounding cities outside of Wilkes-Barre. One of my favorite things living in Wilkes-Barre is definitely the things to do. There is a ton of outdoor recreation in Wilkes-Barre, especially in the surrounding area in Northeast PA itself.
One of the good things that I enjoy always here is hiking, and there is a lot of places here, good places for hiking around the area.
In Wilkes-Barre itself, there's a lot of different food options which encompass a lot of cultures, and it's really cool to get to sample and try all different areas of the world in such a small town.
I love going to school here at Wilkes University. It definitely was the best decision that I've made so far in my life. And one of the reasons why I choose to stay at Wilkes was because of the opportunities and the experiences that were available to me.

Una de las cosas que siempre disfruto aquí es el senderismo, y hay un montón de lugares aquí, buenos lugares para hacer senderismo por la zona.
En la misma Wilkes-Barre, hay muchísimas opciones culinarias distintas que engloban a diversas culturas, y es verdaderamente genial poder probar y degustar platos de diferentes regiones del mundo en una ciudad tan pequeña.
Amo ir a la universidad aquí en Wilkes University. Definitivamente fue la mejor decisión que he tomado en mi vida hasta el momento. Y una de las razones por las que elegí quedarme en Wilkes fue por las oportunidades y las experiencias disponibles para mí.
