The faculty at Wilkes University, they love their students. They love their jobs, and above anything, they love Wilkes University.
I work closely with faculty through observations, through field experiences. Faculty here does a good job at advising you through your curriculum and your goals and progress to obtaining your degree.
There are a lot of opportunities to get involved in research, and there's university funding that supports students traveling to conferences.
If a student doesn't know what exactly they want to major in when they come to Wilkes, we have resources at the University College that help guide them into picking a major. The e-Mentor program is a program that's run through Student Development, and it works with first-year students. Current students here serve as the e-Mentors themselves, and we work with the first-year students through orientation as well as through the first semester that you're here at Wilkes. We run a variety of programs for them to get them interactive and to see what all our campus has to offer overall.
The personal attention at Wilkes University has helped me develop my interpersonal skills and develop as an individual and not just a professional.
