Students can begin researching as soon as they come into college. I started my freshman year.

The faculty at Wilkes all teach what they do research in. The professors spend a lot of time teaching the material. They make sure that you understand the basic concepts, then move on to advanced, industry-type concepts.

Wilkes students have access to the labs, so we can access different instruments. And we get new instruments every so often as well. These instruments are also used in industry and other research labs, so being able to operate and understand how these instruments work help us to be able to be job ready.

There are opportunities to present research. After you do work with a professor for a while, you could go to conferences all across the country.

Very large percentage of Wilkes students go on to the medical school of their choice.

I'm very grateful for being able to go to Wilkes and go to their College of Science and Engineering. There are a lot of graduates from Wilkes that get full-time position offers while they're still in school. That has led to all of these different opportunities for my career.

Los estudiantes pueden empezar a investigar no bien llegan al colegio universitario. Yo comencé en mi primer año.

Todos los profesores de Wilkes enseñan aquello sobre lo que investigan. Los profesores pasan mucho tiempo enseñando el material. Se aseguran de que entiendas los conceptos básicos y luego pasan a conceptos más avanzados de tipo industrial.

Los estudiantes de Wilkes tienen acceso a los laboratorios, de modo que podemos acceder a distintos instrumentos. Y cada tanto también nos dan nuevos instrumentos. Estos instrumentos también se usan en la industria y en otros laboratorios de investigación, por lo que poder operar y entender cómo funcionan estos instrumentos nos ayuda a estar preparados para un empleo.

Hay oportunidades de presentar investigaciones. Después de trabajar junto a un profesor durante un tiempo, puedes ir a conferencias por todo el país.

Un gran porcentaje de los alumnos de Wilkes van luego a alguna facultad de medicina que eligen.

Estoy muy agradecido por poder ir a Wilkes e ir a su Colegio Universitario de Ciencia e Ingeniería. Hay un montón de graduados de Wilkes a los que les ofrecen cargos de tiempo completo mientras están aún en la escuela. Eso ha desembocado en todas estas distintas oportunidades para mi carrera profesional.
